Turkish mafia (Turkish: Türk mafyası) is the general term for criminal organizations based in Turkey and/or composed of (former) Turkish citizens. Crime groups with origins in Turkey are active throughout Western Europe (where a strong Turkish immigrant community exists) and less so in the Middle East.

Mahmut Yıldırım

Mahmut Yıldırım (born 1951, Yenidal, Solhan, Bingöl Province), better known as Yeşil (Turkish for "Green"), is a Turkish rogue agent of Zaza origins. He is wanted for the murders of eight people in Turkey. Among the murders he is accused of is that of Cem Ersever in 1993. Yıldırım, who also used the alias Ahmet Demir, disappeared in 1998 and was the subject of an Interpol Red Notice in 1999. In 2013, security officer Korkut Eken told prosecutors that Yıldırım was still alive.

Nurullah Tevfik Ağansoy

Nurullah Tevfik Ağansoy (1960,[1] Topcular, Istanbul – August 28, 1996, Bebek, Istanbul) was a Turkish mob boss and former Grey Wolves member who was involved in the Susurluk scandal. After the 1980 Turkish coup, he was arrested and sentenced to 16 years in prison for his role in shootings, bombings, and a murder. In 1986, he was charged with a further five murders and began cooperating with Turkish intelligence. He was released in 1989.[1] He was assassinated on the orders of his former business partner Alaattin Çakıcı.

Nedim Imac

Nedim Imaç (born 1966 in The Hague - died February 17, 2007 in Amsterdam) was a Turkish-Dutch businessman and sports executive. He was the former chairman of the Amsterdam football club Türkiyemspor and a prominent face of the Turkish community in the Netherlands. He was also one of the important leaders of the Turkish heroin mafia in the Netherlands.[1][2][3] He was murdered in a drive-by shooting on 17 February 2007 as part of a gangland dispute.
